About Jill
I want to help you take your health into your own hands...
Hi! I’m Jill, Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, Regenerative Farmer, Wellness Educator, wife + mom to 3 boys.
When my middle son, Alder, was 3 years old he was diagnosed with Autism. At age 5 he was considered nonverbal and kicked out of multiple preschools. I often wondered if he would ever be well enough to sit in a classroom, tell a story or make a friend. When I looked into his bright blue eyes something told me his repetitive behaviors, faraway look and inability to speak was not authentically who he was. He was sick.
I spent years working with various practitioners and flew all over the country attempting to help him achieve simple results like keeping his clothes on his body, and learning to speak. He made some progress but nothing influenced his outcomes like food. 72 hours after removing specific foods from his diet, he made eye contact for the first time in his life. Three years after we learned to use high quality, nutrient dense foods specific to his bioindivideal needs, Alder lost his clinical diagnosis for Autism.
Today he is in 7th grade, on the wresting team, in choir, has a core group of friends, loves baking, makes A's and B's on his report card and is--hands down--our best farm hand. The other day he gave me a big hug and said, "Thanks for curing my Autism, mom. No one believes me when I tell them I used to have it."
Alder is a big reason why I left my career to study Nutrition Therapy. I teach people how to use food and lifestyle to influence and transform their own health outcomes. You can read some client testimonials HERE.
When not studying nutrition, you can find me experimenting with new recipes for my cookbook, working on my farm, training for an ultra-race or planning my next adventure with my husband and 3 boys.
My favorite ways to cultivate health happen in the kitchen and on my farm. Want to learn more about how I help cultivate healthy people + healthy planet at our farm, ReWild Ranch? Keep reading...
In 2004, my husband, Jay, and I bought 5 acres of bare land. We lived in our van (down by the river, ha!) while we built a log home with our bare hands. 16 years, 3 kids and several dogs later, we bought 59 more acres from our neighbors and ReWild Ranch was born.
Our mission is to connect people to food, nature and each other and to improve public health and the health of the planet through regenerative agriculture.
Through our commitment to regenerative agriculture, education, and advocacy, we strive to cultivate a future where thriving people and a thriving planet are the most cherished assets, guiding humanity towards a sustainable and prosperous tomorrow. We believe that equal access to healthy food is a public health and human rights issue and it is our mission to contribute to food equity and climate justice at ReWild Ranch.
This project is just getting started so stay tuned for updates, on-site workshops, classes and other learning opportunities that help you restore your inner wild and contribute to affecting positive change for your health, the health of our communities and our planet.
